Rev. Dr. Samuel Nicolas is a charismatic leader and a public servant who seeks to make a spiritual impact on people’s lives. He was born in Port au Prince, Haiti to Bishop Philius Nicolas and his wife, Helen. He immigrated to the United States at the very tender age of 9 years old.
The ministry and the leadership of Rev. Dr. Samuel Nicolas includes more than 30 years of service in government operation roles such as the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development as well as the New York State Comptroller’s Office.
Pastor Sam was credited with the implementation of the 8:00 AM service that started with 12participants and grew to more than 1,200 participants. His strong problem-solving and organizational development skills along with proven management experience have earned him the respect of his peers and community leaders.
Pastor Sam holds a BA in Sociology from Hunter College, a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Counseling and Family from the Evangelical Seminary in New York,an honorary doctorate in Theology, and various certifications. He is also an accomplished saxophonist and likes sports.
He is married to Faride, his wife of over 31 years, and together they are the proud parents of Jonathan (married to Tonya), Mark, and Gloria. They are also the grandparents of two: Jacob and Charlotte.
